Assistant Principal - Andrew Messer Hinton

EISD is excited to welcome Andrew Messer-Hinton to Baxter Junior High as an assistant principal. For the last 19 years, he has worked in a neighboring district. He has taught at both the elementary and secondary levels, as well as worked in administration at both the campus and central staff levels. As a child, growing up, his family moved around frequently.

He claims Madison, Wisconsin, as his hometown because he graduated from high school there. He went on to complete his bachelor's degree from Bemidji State University, located in far northern Minnesota. He completed his master's degree with an emphasis in Educational Leadership from the University of Texas Permian Basin. Being a believer in lifelong learning, he is pursuing his doctoral degree in Educational Leadership from Concordia University Chicago and hopes to complete his dissertation within the next year. To quote Malcolm X, “Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today.” I look forward to working with parents and students in preparing them for the future that awaits them.
