    Greetings Townley Family,

As the principal of Townley Elementary, it is a pleasure and an honor to partner with you this academic school year to ensure that ALL of our students at Townley have an exciting and successful year. In the midst of this pandemic and as we navigate these uncharted waters, it is our mission to provide a safe and welcoming environment so that our students, parents, and community feel that they are a part of the Townley family, and that it truly takes a village to achieve student success. We are excited to implement cutting-edge instructional support that will increase student engagement, connect learning to the real world, and create a solid foundation for college and career readiness.

At Townley Elementary, we have great teachers and supportive staff who spend time in quality planning and creating lessons that are student-centered and utilize “best practices” in an effort to address different learning styles and needs. Our teachers are data-driven and use this information on a consistent basis to determine current skill levels and to set goals for continuous academic growth and student improvement. Along with our core academics our music, art, and physical education classes help our students to become well-rounded healthy citizens.

In addition, I have been a part of the Everman ISD Family for 10 years. I began my career at Everman Joe C. Bean High School as a science instructor, department chair, and specialist. In 2013, I became the 11th grade assistant principal and served in that capacity for 5 years. I have two amazing boys who are 6 and 11 and have been married for 12 years. I enjoy dancing, traveling, and spending time with family.

Finally, we look forward to a productive school year together and we extend an invitation to our families and the community to participate in our upcoming activities and events. We believe that all of our students at Townley have the attributes of a HERO (Helpful, Engaged, Respectful, and On-Task) and your involvement is a vital part of their success.

Again, welcome back and let’s have a TERRIFIC school year at TOWNLEY!

    Sincerely,
    Tamika R. Dees
